Looks like you achieved your desire to get into the oak barrels!

Your wine press is very familiar to me!

Where is your wine shop? I used to use a guy up in WPB, out west on Okeechobee Blvd.

Chris, do you use the kegs for all of your aging? How do you add oak? I was thinking about using cornelius kegs for my rose' that way I could use my argon tank to pressurize the filtering. But never thought of it for my reds.

Hey it looks like you have a great set up. The kegs, do you use them for topping up or as a storage vessel?? Also I would like to know where I could buy the hosing that you have for you nitrogen tank, because I have a tank similar to yours but I have 1/2 plastic tubing that that really doesn't cut it. Great pictures.

Profile Information

What is your favorite red wine?
Cabernet, Zinfandel, Merlot, Shiraz,
About Me:
"Silverwings" on Talk Shoe.

Husband to a dear wife and father to wonderful boy. I've been home winemaking since 2004 for "Chat-O Pompano" (lightheartedly named for our city of Pompano Beach, Florida). Homebrewer for many years prior to that.

I prefer making the bigger reds, about 25 gallons a year and working up to 30 gallons so I can get into the half size oak barrel volumes.
